The Bench

One of the most popular restaurants in town is the Bench, located on Mountain Road. You know a place is good when the place is packed with locals! We love that their menu is full of Vermont sourced ingredients & it is relatively friendly for dietary restrictions as well. We highly recommend making the Bench a stop on your trip to Stowe!

What’s Good?

Wood Fried Nachos: We dream about these nachos! They are loaded with melted blue cheese, spiced honey, bacon, jalapeños & so much more. SO delicious!

Caesar Wrap: This is a super tasty wrap made with Kale. We usually add Chicken to it & also get the mac and cheese on the side, because why not?!

Banh Mi Chicken Sandwich: When in doubt, we always order the banh mi chicken sandwich! It’s full of pickled veggies & seasoned with a spicy soy aioli. So fresh & delicious!

Hellbrook Wood Fired Pizza: One thing we love about the Bench, is they kept the wood fired pizza oven that the previous restaurant to be in this location was famous for (We miss you, Pie in the Sky). The pizza is different than any other you will find in Stowe. The Hellbrook is a classic, made with red sauce, pepperoni & mozzarella.

The Rezitarian: We have heard this is one of the best veggie burgers ever! It’s a house made veggie patty served with a cilantro lime mayo. Definitely a great option for vegetarians, vegans & others with limited dietary restrictions.

Insider Tip: They don’t accept reservations, but always check the bar area! You might get lucky and be able to snag a few seats in the back. They’ve also got over 20 beers on tap, so it’s a great place to hang out while you wait for a table!
