Foliage & fresh apple cider go hand in hand, right? It’s awesome that we have one of the best stops for apple cider & cider donuts located so close to Stowe. Cold Hollow Cider Mill also has a really great selection of locally produced food products. We wanted to share a few of our favorites with you, so you can check them out the next time you’re there!
What’s Good?
Apple Cider: They offer their apple cider cold or hot, so we chose the cold cider since it has been an extremely warm October. However, on a cold day, there is nothing better than a hot apple cider!
Cider Donuts: Our favorite Fall treat! We like to dip ours in raw sugar, which you can get at the coffee station. It’s delicious.
Fat Toad Farm Caramel: This stuff is amazing! It’s a caramel locally made with farmstead goat’s milk. Our go to flavor is the Vermont Maple, which is actually infused with fresh maple syrup from Cold Hollow. This time, we tried the cold brew coffee flavor, which is a collaboration with the Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea company. It was delicious, but we still prefer our tried & true Vermont Maple!
Tom Knows Salsa: We can’t recommend this salsa enough! It’s a salsa verde (green salsa), so it has a different taste than most of the salsas you can eat at home. We like the medium version the best, because it has just enough of a kick without being too hot.
Vermont Peanut Butter: The Maple Walnut flavor of VTPB is so good! We’ve also had the “Good Karma” flavor, which is a peanut butter and dark chocolate infusion, and the “Stowe” flavor which is cinnamon raisin. All were good, but we keep reaching back for the Maple Walnut!
Insider Tip: When you order your cider donuts, ask for a fresh bag so they will be warm!
