The change of seasons is one of the best parts of living in Stowe, Vermont. While we may love the foliage in the Fall, or the snow in the Winter, the sunshine in Summer is definitely a necessity! We need to soak all of that sunshine in while we can, and take advantage of every outdoor opportunity- including eating and drinking! Here’s a list of the top five restaurants with outdoor dining in Stowe.
Idletyme Brewing Co.
The outdoor dining patio/treehouse bar is THE place to be in the Summer! Whether eating on the patio, drinking at the bar, lounging by the fire pit or playing a game of corn hole, you are sure to have fun! The vibe at Idletyme Brewing Co. is laid back and fun, and the brews are made in house. You’ve got to get a flight of beer while here; it comes on a wooden mini ski!

The Roost and Flannel Restaurants at Topnotch Resort
These two restaurants have arguably the best view in town. Both patios face Mt. Mansfield, and the sunset over the mountain is phenomenal. If you are looking for a more casual spot to eat (think burgers and light bites), try the Roost. For a more romantic spot, Flannel is your place! Indulge in a nice charcuterie plate, some seafood or a nice filet mignon. Both restaurants boast amazing views, and you can even roast s’mores at the outdoor fire pit!

Junior’s at Stowe
We loved dining on the patio at Junior’s. It’s quiet & secluded, and there are beautiful flowers surrounding you. Check out our blog post for more information about what’s good at Junior’s!

Doc Ponds
There are two small sections for outdoor dining at Doc Ponds, so it’s a great option if you can get a seat! The new section in the garden area out back has some picnic tables and adorable hanging string lights! It’s a great spot for a date.

Harrison’s
During Summer, you should definitely make a reservation and request outdoor seating, as long as it is weather permitting! Harrison’s is right in town, so you get a view of the bustling metropolis while you wine and dine on their heated patio. There will be a full post coming on this place soon, but if you’re looking for a good steak in Stowe… go to Harrison’s!
