The Bagel is the only bagel shop in Stowe and offers over 20 different types of delicious bagels. They also brew local coffee from Speeder & Earl’s and have a large selection of bottled beverages, including Nantucket Nectars. At The Bagel, there’s something for everyone, whether it be a classic bagel with cream cheese or a unique bagel sandwich, you won’t be disappointed!
What’s Good?
All of the freshly baked bagels are delicious, and you can never go wrong with one of the cream cheese options! Need a fun combo idea? Try a Sesame bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese.
The Bagel has some great traditional breakfast sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Basic (egg & your choice of cheese) on a Whole Wheat Everything bagel, toasted with cheddar cheese.

The California Chicken: Your choice of bagel with chicken breast, melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato & guacamole! YUM.
The Thanksgiving: Your choice of bagel with all of the traditional holiday staples… turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayonnaise.
The New Jersey: Taylor Pork Roll, egg and your choice of cheese. You don’t find Taylor Pork Roll up in Vermont too often!
If they’ve got them, buy the homemade bagel chips that are located on the counter. They’re delicious, and will beat any you’ve ever had, especially the Asiago ones!
Insider Tip: Check out the day old bagel rack. You can get a discounted bag of a dozen+ bagels. They’ll stay fresh for a while and you can also freeze them to keep them around for longer!
